Los Angeles Photography: Margo & Tim are Engaged!

Oh my gosh, how much do we love Margo and Tim?! These two have personalities that can light up any room, and they have a love that would make any passer-by smile from ear-to-ear (we know…we saw it!).

These two chose the Griffith Park Observatory as their location as that’s where Tim popped the question just a couple months before. High above Los Angeles, Margo accepted and is in “countdown mode” until she is Mrs. Martin! Both Tim and Margo have been such an AMAZING example of the fun and excitement that should come with being engaged! So many times when you’re planning a wedding you can get lost in the stress and pressure of preparing and not just enjoy the ride! Well, there’s no place better to get away from it all than the Griffith Observatory, and these two loved every minute!

To see Tim hold Margo is to see true love…always wanting to be near her…he couldn’t let go of her! We loved it!! Our time was non-stop laughs! Erin and I left that night feeling so inspired and so privileged to have been chosen to document their wedding in June. And if their engagement can even remotely be considered just a “warm up” to the big day that is fast approaching, it is going to be out of this world!

Margo and Tim, may you cling even more to one another these last few months! We had so much fun and hope you enjoy just a handful of our favorite moments with you :)

Happy middle of the week everyone! Yes…the Christmas rush is now in full effect….and yes, we still have a TON of shopping to do….but NO…we won’t stop our blogging streak this week ever for a minute!

Before we go running off the fight those crazy holiday shoppers we wanted to share with you our session with Brandon and Karissa! In a way, their wedding is one of our first destination weddings! But, since they are coming from Arizona TO California to get married, so I suppose it’s just a destination for them :)

Either way, we could not be more excited to shoot their wedding at the absolutely gorgeous Calamigos Ranch in Malibu this coming June! Their families are out here in Cali and if are a bride now, or if you’ve been a bride in the past, you know it’s allll about the family, right?? We love our engagement sessions with all of our couples because it allows us to connect and gain a comfort level and friendship that spills over to the wedding day! That’s why we include an E-session with every couple for free :)

For our afternoon with Brandon and Karissa, there were some butterflies and anxiety for their shoot as the ominous clouds overhead threatened to unleash a torrential downpour at any second. But that didn’t stop these two for a milisecond, these two were troopers! One could swear that it was sunny in their world as Brandon was glued to the side of his beloved Karissa (even though she was fighting a cold…told ya…these two are troopers!).

Our prayers were answered, as the clouds just hung there, providing amazing light and a phenominal sunset for these two to just get away and be themselves! Here are some of our favs!

Brandon struck his Super Hero pose! Not sure if Karissa was diggin’ it, haha

JENBERRY: {img}34_244{/img} freakin spectacular. love it. ( December 20, 2009 2:39 pm )

Brandon: Sweet! ( December 18, 2009 8:36 pm )

Strawberry Farms Wedding Photography: Jamie & Drew!

Couples like Jamie and Drew are the poster-children for why Erin and I do what we do! It was a wedding where their excitement was so contagious, you couldn’t help just be on edge the entire ceremony because you wanted to cheer for them at the end :)

Their story is rooted in love and can do nothing but inspire everyone around them. As Erin and I would say “He’s her lobster!” **Friends reference..click the link to see a clip!**

I’ve known Jamie since she was a Freshman walking around the halls of University High School, and looking back at those times I could only smile with pride as we arrived to shoot her WEDDING! Where did the time go?! And to see her glowing as I took her bridal portraits was an honor I will always remember.

I lost track of the number of times I heard people say how Drew was the most perfect man for Jamie; and to see how he looks at her…I think the feeling is MORE than mutual! They are one another’s best friend and rock of support here on this earth!

These two got married at the always beautiful Strawberry Farms in Irvine, CA. Together with their awesome coordinator Stacey, Jamie and Drew’s day was absolutely perfect. They actually decided on this place after seeing Julie and Jon’s wedding which we shot there just a few months before! It was the perfect setting for these two and we have been so anxious to show them some of our favorite shots from the day :)

So without further adieu
