Wedding at The Vineyards in Simi Valley: Chelsea and Drew are Married!!

Yay! We couldn’t believe the day was finally here. “Chelsea and Drew are getting married today!!” Erin and I kept saying it on our drive up to Simi Valley. After almost a year of planning and preparations, our friends were finally tying the knot at The Vineyards!! Chelsea and Erin have been dear friends for so long. Long before either Drew or I got on the scene and swept them off their feet! ;)

From pre-engagement jitters, to pre-wedding craziness, Erin and Chelsea have been there to encourage one another through it all! You undoubtedly remember Chelsea and Drew from their engagement session and the great fun we had with their dirt bikes in the Valley! If you need a refresher…click HERE. But there is no denying that these two have a bond like no other. Chelsea has a special smile when Drew is by her side, and you can tell it’s because of the love and tenderness he shows her no matter what.

Erin and I can’t express how excited and honored we felt to be able to capture the day these two became husband and wife. Their love for one another couldn’t help but make Erin and I smile from ear to ear the entire time we were with them! It was just…perfect.

Chelsea and Drew, you two are amazing and we cannot thank you enough for not only trusting us with your wedding day, but also for your friendship! Your story and your journey thus far is just the beginning! We cherish you both so much. Enjoy Hawaii!!

Callaway Winery Wedding Photography, Temecula: Sara and Blake Are Married!

WOW, I can’t believe it’s already been over a week since I’ve blogged, where did the time go?! So much has happened this past week. I flew out last Thursday to meet up with my friends Ray Santana, Jonathan Chan, and Oz Wroe to shoot an absolutely incredible wedding! With over 1300 guests in attendance; we had our work cut out for us! I’m super excited to share that wedding with everyone, but as promised, this is the final wedding I wanted to blog from all of the second shooting I did last summer!

This wedding took place at the gorgeous Callaway Winery in Temecula. The entire winery sits atop a hill overlooking endless hills of vineyards; what an absolutely amazing location to get married!

Sara and Blake were just the nicest and most calm bride and groom I think we’ve ever worked with. They just couldn’t wait to see one another and become man and wife. Everything else, every detail or minor hiccup in the wedding day took a far distant second to the fact that they just couldn’t wait to be married…and that’s how it’s supposed to be if you ask me :)

Despite the heat and the wind, their ceremony was just beautiful. Afterwards we snuck them down into the vineyard and got extra romantic with these two. It’s like no one was around and they were just giddy with excitement. It’s this time I love the most! The “oh my gosh we just got married” looks and glances, and the “I can’t wait to do this for forever” types of kisses.

So awesome!

I have to thank the ever-fabulous Maria Longhi for inviting me along to help capture this amazing day! Enjoy!

What she puts up with on a daily basis being married to me…and B.) The amazing heart she has and how it translates into every aspect of her life. I am the luckiest guy :)

NOW…onto something crazy cool that we were a part of last week. If you are a wedding photographer in Orange County, or just a photographer in general who is striving to be the very best artist you can possibly be, there is a group right around the corner who is dedicated to helping you!

Erin and I had the privilege to lead a group at the SoCal Photog Shootout at The Romanesque Room in Pasadena. We were in charge of taking waves of photogs (almost 100 people total) on an engagement shoot with our cool models Derek and Sarah! The purpose of the SoCal Photog Shootout is to connect photographers with different strengths, abilities, and talents to learn from each other, to network and make new friends. And without a doubt, it was “Mission Accomplished” for our time in Pasadena.

Erin and I had so much fun meeting so many new friends and hanging out with the other leaders; it was definitely a learning experience for all involved and hopefully Erin and I were able to add to the learning a bit :)

We can’t wait for the next one down in San Diego next month!

Many thanks to everyone who gave their time and talent to put on such a fun-filled day! If you haven’t seen all the photos from everyone on the Photog Shootout Facebook page click HERE and comment on your favorites!

While Erin and I were mainly going around and teaching and making sure everyone was getting some great shots, we were able to sneak in a few photos here and there, we hope you enjoy!
