*PHEW* It has been one crazy week, let met tell ya. And thus, on Wednesday, our marathon of engagement sessions came to an end. And talk about sprinting to the finish with Allison and Scott!

If you’re reading this post, you undoubtedly saw the header image for their post. If you forgot what it looked like, go back and see it for yourself. (go for it, I’ll wait, haha )

I love that image, because it can tell you everything you need to know about Allison and Scott when they are together! Scott, the laid back and strong type who has style and loves life. And Allison, the adorable and together woman who can’t help but want to be close to her man. She looks at Scott with unconditional love with a smile on her face. Because let’s face it…he just plain ol’ makes her laugh… in the best possible way.

Our time with them took us on quite an adventure. From off-roading at an abandoned drive-in movie theater, to fighting soccer moms tooth and nail for a parking spot in the suburbs of Oceanside; there was never even a hint of a dull moment. Allison did her homework, she poured herself into preparing for this shoot, and rented the absolute most-perfect love seat and prop for their engagement session! Erin and I have secretly wanted to have a couch in a field for SO long, and we couldn’t dream of a better couple to finally have it come to fruition!

Needless to say, June can not come rolling around fast enough, as we cannot wait for their wedding at the beautiful Soka University in Aliso Viejo; a venue that is truly a diamond in the rough here in Orange County!

Going through these images was such a blast and we are so anxious to show you some of our favorite romantics from the day. Allison and Scott, you guys bring awesome to a whole new level. Thank you for not only the time you put into making this shoot what it was, but also for allowing us to capture what puts the “love” in love-seat

*** PREFACE: Holy wow, I’ve been staring at my computer screen for the better part of ten minutes trying to think of an opener for our third blog post in the past week. “Why are you having a hard time with this one?”, Erin said. “Amber and Paul are so great, we had an amazing time with them the whole day! How can you have writer’s block?”

So with that being said, I’ve now moved away from writer’s block and on to plagiarism. So here it goes… ***

Amber and Paul are so great, we had an amazing time with them the whole day! (nailed it)

These two have a kind of warning going into their engagement session. Basically in a nutshell, they said ‘good luck!’ haha. In my mind I instantly thought…challenge accepted! They knew they wanted nature and the beach, and left the rest up to us! (love it) As you’ll see, we have NO clue what they were talking about. From moment one, they were amazing in front of the camera! Erin and I were laughing and smiling non-stop as we went through our images

Amber and Paul have known one another for “forever” as they would say, and after being friends for the better part of a decade, a friend thing turned into a dating thing…and believe me…I can tell you that what these two have together was worth the wait. Spend 5 minutes with both of them together and you’ll see they are the two halves that make a whole. Throughout our entire time with them we were laughing and having just the best time out in Malibu; Paul and I even had a little snuggly moment (thanks for sharing him Amber), and I blame it on our mutual love for fitness and fast cars!

We were blessed to have found a weekend these two were free and needless to say, we made the most of it! In addition to having played for the Dodgers, Paul just finished a role in the new upcoming film Moneyball, with Brad Pitt. And if that wasn’t hectic enough, Amber is finishing her final months in residency in LA as an anesthesiologist! (I totally spelled that right on the first try)

Erin and I are so honored to be a part of their wedding in January at Pelican Hill in Newport Coast. Not only are they probably the busiest people you will ever meet, but they are also the nicest and most fun loving couple. We enjoyed such a wonderful dinner with them afterwards along the coast and are beyond excited to share with you some of our favorite moments with them.

This week has been allll about Engagement Sessions! We love it! With 5 E-sessions in 7 days, it’s been so much fun, with every session completely unique and every couple just more amazing than we ever could have hoped for! I think I’ve blogged this phrase before, but I just have to say it again. Putting thought and effort into preparing for your engagement session will never return void! A perfect example is our most recent couple, Abigail and Ryan….we love them

So if you can’t already tell, Erin and I love Engagement Sessions. We get so excited to spend time with our brides and grooms before the wedding, talking, laughing, and really just breaking out of the mold of a wedding “vendor” (I just cringed a little) and stepping into a place where we are trusted, confided in, and an actual part of two people’s incredible day.

So yea, you can say we get excited. BUT, our excitement, was totally shown up…I’ll admit it…by Abigail and the days and months leading up to our shoot. And you know what? We wouldn’t have it any other way! We talked, swapped emails, and really tried to find the perfect setting where she and Ryan not only felt comfortable, but really was the perfect place that represented their love for one another. Erin and I came across the perfect location and we are so excited to share with you a few moments that just prove to the world how great these two are together. We can’t wait to show even more proof as these two prepare to be married next year in Laguna Beach at Tivoli Too. Can you say “beyond excited?”

I think what we love most about our time with Abigail and Ryan, and what we love about the images we came away with, is that every kiss, every laugh, and every embrace, is uniquely “them.” We count ourselves blessed in not only knowing these two, but also in knowing there is a love like theirs only growing stronger as the days pass by!
