If you’re one of those people who read or check up on our blog daily (thanks Mom!), we just told you about the Spagnolo family and how Kathleen and Steven came away from their wedding day over three years ago without any wedding photos. It’s every brides worst nightmare, and it gives our wonderful industry a bad rap. Kathleen knew it…we knew it…we had to get them some photos together! Coming from out of state, she shipped her dress, his tuxedo, and recreated her bouquet to bring together a session that we are VERY excited to share with you!

Months ago, I got an email from a friend of one of our past brides. She had seen their wedding photos and proposed an idea to us. She and her family lived out of state and would be in California for only a few days over Thanksgiving but she REALLY wanted to get some family portraits done. We were happy to do it and so flattered that she and her family would take time out of their vacation for us. BUT, want she continued to tell me was a story that left both Erin and I so embarrassed for our industry that we had to do something.

As we came to find out, Kathleen and her husband Steven had a beautiful wedding over 3 years ago and to their utter heartbreak…they had no real photos to show for it. I’ll save some of the details, but the bottom line was they were so sad to have no usable images of Kathleen in her dress or her and Steven together. NONE!

So, we did our first ever family portrait/bridal portrait photoshoot, and had the absolute best time with this fun and wonderful family! We loved it so much, we are splitting up the shoots into two separate blog posts, starting with some of our favorite images with their whole family. And no, you’re not seeing double, Kathleen and Steven have two adorable twin girls! As you can imagine, keeping twins clothed and happy requires reinforcements to pull off a shoot like this, and thanks to some helpful hands from the family everything went just perfect!

With siblings growing up and life making things harder for all of us to be together all at the same time, my family took full advantage this Thanksgiving and locked in a Christmas card photo! With 5 guys, 3 girls, and a dog that likes to chase bunnies…it was an adventure! But, I think we got a couple worthy of the mantle and can keep the parents happy until the next time we are all under one roof!

So until next year…I give you…the Wade family! Hoping you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

P.S. We all have smiles because this was before our amazingly delicious meal. Had we waited, our waistlines and pained expressions would have been too much for the internet to handle. You’re welcome…the world.
