We consider it such a compliment when a bride and groom book us over the phone or via internet. When someone trusts such a monumental day to you almost sight-unseen it’s such an honor. No client meeting, just “we love you guys, please be at our our wedding.” We love it!

Although, after our time with Donna and Jonathan, Erin and I looked at one another and both agreed…they were beyond awesome and we selfishly wish they had come for a meeting first, just so we could have had an excuse to hang out with them more! Together, they are just so joyful, loving, and full of life! Donna loves to laugh, and Jon loves to wrap his arms around her any chance you give him. They are so great and I can’t wait for their wedding in March at the Sherwood Country Club. Also, Jon is a big car guy…can you say bro-mance? haha. We would have talked cars all day long if our ladies let us! But, alas, we were losing the sunlight and headed to the Santa Monica Pier to get some great romantic shots of these two.

**Santa Monica Engagement Photography: Lisa and Scott Friday, August 20, 2010 | Engagements | 3 comments**

It’s been so long since we’ve traveled up the coast for an engagement session. One of our very first engagement sessions EVER was actually at the Santa Monica Pier! It brought back such great memories for us and since we were about an hour early for our session with Lisa and Scott, we had a chance to walk around and take a trip down memory lane as we talked about everything that’s happened these last two years. Needless to say we were excited to see how these two years have shaped us as photographers and we were really pumped up for Lisa and Scott’s engagement session!

Not only are they just the nicest and most easy to talk to people you’ll ever meet, they are head over heels in love and we knew that all that needed to happen was to put Lisa in Scott’s arms….and the rest would just happen

Lucky for Scott, it was pretty darn cold that afternoon at the beach so Lisa was wrapped around him no matter what! But the way we guys see it is any excuse is a good excuse, so he went with it! Despite the goosebumps, chills, and the frozen fingers, our time with these two went by so fast, as we went from place to place just laughing and talking about anything and everything. Erin and I are so excited for their wedding coming up next month at the Fairmont Miramar hotel in Santa Monica! AND, we came to find out that Lisa and Scott have a wedding blog of their own and so we do what anyone would do… we totally blog stalked them (because we’re excited for them, not because we’re creepy like that). It brings us so much joy seeing these two beyond happy and counting down the days until they are husband and wife

Allison : ( 08.25.2010- 01:29 ) Oh Gavin and Erin, you've done it again! You beautifully captured the fun, the romance and the cute chemistry behind another couple. I LOVE These. I like the one that photo that Gavin indicated was on um, what would you call it? Picture probation for the website. It showed a great deal of tenderness between Lisa and Scott. Way to go guys!

**Orange County Engagement: Allison and Jake (and Rusty) Wednesday, August 18, 2010 | Engagements | 1 comments**

Allison and Jake are so much fun. These two, when they are together, light up one another’s worlds. During our time in the park with them, they would ask us “what do you want us to do?” (And it’s a question we get all the time when are out during our engagement sessions) So many times, my response is exactly the same…”Do exactly what you’re doing now! I love it!” So much of what we do…has NOTHING to do with what we do! * I’ll give you a sec to re-read that * Erin and I love capturing real, fun, and romantic moments between our couples. And so many times that has zero to do with us, we are just merely catching a glimpse into what they feel for one another. A look, a wink, a roll of the eyes…it’s 100% them and 0% us.

Here is 100% Jake and Ali, with a guest appearance by Rusty, a horse that was so kindly loaned to them for a few minutes by a wonderful local riding group who were dining nearby. You should have seen Allison’s face when she realized they were going to have a horse in their photos! It could not have been a more perfect afternoon. Jake and Ali, we are so excited for your wedding next month and can’t wait for everything that’s to come! (Which might include a horse now, haha…sorry Jake) Enjoy!

**SIDENOTE** I’ve got to hand it to Erin, this week she has been on FIRE! We had two engagement sessions last week and both needed to be completed and delivered inside of a week to our couples. So please forgive us as we’ve blogged a little bit out of order than our usual workflow, but as I sit here typing this, not one, but two awesome couples are enjoying their images in less than 5 days after both engagement sessions. Erin…you’re amazing, thank you!
