San Clemente Photography: Stephanie and Brian’s Engagement Monday, April 12, 2010 | Engagements, Uncategorized | 5 comments

Happy Monday everyone!

For the first time in a while, Erin and I had this past Saturday off, and we got to experience what apparently some people call “the weekend!” haha. Since wedding photographers have a bit of a inverted social calendar, it felt like a holiday…and we treated it as such! So nice to recharge, relax, and spend some time with the pup!

Before our little holiday celebration, we had the absolute best time with Stephanie and Brian on their engagement session in Dana Point and the San Clemente Pier! Stephanie and I probably have crossed paths dozens of times since we went to rivaling elementary and middle schools back in the day…we always won though (at least that’s how I remember it! ha!) :)

From the first moment we met back in our studio, we knew these two were nothing but amazing…so full of joy and excitement! They love to laugh (like us) and were just so comfortable and photogenic. We had such a blast starting off at the Dana Point Harbor and then drove down the coast to San Clemente to catch the sun as it fell behind Catalina Island.

With every engagement session, Erin and I always aim at capturing the couple as they truly are when they are together…the love, the flirting, and the feeling as if they were the only two people around. With Brian and Stephanie, it’s as if the world around them fades away and you can’t help but smile from ear to ear when you see them together!

We cannot wait to capture their wedding in just a few short months :)

We hope you enjoy some of our favorite moments….where the world around just fades away.

I Married A Bit Out of My League: Love You Erin! Thursday, March 11, 2010 | Fun with Gav & Erin, Uncategorized | 4 comments

Hello!

Erin and I are SO excited, SO tired, and SO thankful for having just spent 5 days in Las Vegas at WPPI 2010! We made so many new friends, strengthened and grew closer to so many of our old friends, and really just got recharged and ready to rock this years wedding season! There is some good change coming to Gavin Wade Photographers, but more on that later!

So as the writer of our blog, I’m able to take a few creative liberties, write my thoughts, and in this case share a few photos of my beautiful bride! She gave me the “OK” to post a few of the photos I took as we were getting ready for our photo shoot with the ever-fabulous Scarlett Lillian while we were in Las Vegas this past week. I think this is the 3rd or 4th time she’s been in her wedding dress! haha. We had such a great time and while I didn’t take my camera, I snapped a few of these in our room as she was getting her makeup and hair all done up…I definitely married up!! :)

Can’t wait to share more of what’s to come and all that we took away from WPPI!

Here are a few shots of my hottie!
