For Brides! What Can You Do With Your Wedding Photos?

I know this is a question in every bride’s mind at some point or another. You’re staring at your options when deciding what to do with your wedding and engagement photos, and the first thing that pops into your head is $PRICE$.

I know this because Erin and I did the same thing when going through our wedding photos. In a time when you are paying for a lot of things in preparation for your big day, whether you’re on a budget or not, we all look for ways to save.

For us, when we meet with all of our amazing brides, there’s one thing we emphasize most…and that’s VALUE. Value is all about the big picture! There is very little left of a wedding the next day. A parting gift, amazing memories, and maybe a black eye from a crazed bridesmaid fighting for the bouquet. A week or two later, the bruise has healed, the memories are still alive and well, and the moments and details that you may have forgotten or never even saw….they come rushing back to you when you see your photos! And the memories live on.

Fast forward ten years. There’s 2.5 kids, a mortgage, and a golden retriever laying by the fire. Your days now consist of carpool, school plays, piano practice, and a marriage that gets better with each passing day. Thinking back on your wedding day, the details and people who were there might be a bit harder to recall than it once was. You long to have something to open up with your children and show them who Mommy and Daddy were before they were born (and how pretty Mommy looked in her dress).

This scenario is when a wedding album’s value has far surpassed the cost. Every bride I’ve met has always wanted something to have that can stand the test of time (both in style and design) that tells the story of their wedding.

When Erin and I meet couples at our studio we love showing them how they can do just that! How to beautifully preserve and protect the story of their wedding day.

We love the quality as well as the ability to make each and every album unique for each bride. With hand-wrapped leather covers of all colors and textures, and flush mounted photos, it’s something that will last forever :)

And before I prattle on and on, I would just encourage any bride to think VALUE before you think price! I know Erin and I did, and it will be sitting on our coffee table for many years to come!

Here are a few photos of some beautiful albums, which come with most of the packages we offer! The pictures do not do them justice!

- – With a magazine-like design, each thick page carries over to the next providing a gorgeous spread that’s printed right on the page – -
- – That album is 15 inches tall and 10 inches wide; the images JUMP off the page…I love it – -
- – A sample album of all favorite weddings from 2009! – -
- – You can customize a line of printing branded right into it…so beautiful – -

Pacific Edge Villa, Laguna Beach Wedding: Shiri & Andrew

Happy New Year everyone!

Erin and I hope that you and yours had a wonderful Christmas and New Years surrounded by the people you love most! For us it was our first Christmas as husband and wife and it went AMAZINGLY well! Not that we were bracing for some catastrophe (yeah…we were) but with 5 family parties, 4 birthdays, 3 families, and enough left-over dessert to choke a camel…we are amazed to have survived with our sanity (not to mention waistlines) intact! (Don’t worry, proof will be posted here soon!)

And speaking of first Christmases, Shiri and Andrew BARELY made it this year! The Monday before Christmas, I was invited to shoot their awesome wedding in Laguna Beach at the wonderful Pacific Edge Villa. Practically right on the water, it was a gorgeous backdrop for these two to say their vows and celebrate with their closest family and friends! And I kid you not…immediately after their ceremony there was a sunset unlike I had EVER seen in my entire life! It looked as if the sky was literally set on fire! Not wasting any time, we all ran out to the water-line and took advantage of something that would undoubtedly be a once in a lifetime experience!

Being without Erin on this one, it made me realize how much I love partnering with my best friend…I missed her so much! But believe you me…she got the unabridged “girly version” of the day’s events once I got home! I however, will let the images of Shiri and Andrew speak volumes as these two are pretty much just the coolest couple you’ll see. They loved photos and snuck away with me during their own reception so we could turn up the heat and get some sexy black and white photos around the villa! I know…AWESOME no?

Shiri and Andrew, your wedding was so much fun! I couldn’t think of a more fitting start to a life (and a love) that has MANY more Christmases and amazing sunsets to come!

You both rock my socks off…The End :)
I love love love this image of their daughter :)

Strawberry Farms Wedding Photography: Jamie & Drew!

Couples like Jamie and Drew are the poster-children for why Erin and I do what we do! It was a wedding where their excitement was so contagious, you couldn’t help just be on edge the entire ceremony because you wanted to cheer for them at the end :)

Their story is rooted in love and can do nothing but inspire everyone around them. As Erin and I would say “He’s her lobster!” **Friends reference..click the link to see a clip!**

I’ve known Jamie since she was a Freshman walking around the halls of University High School, and looking back at those times I could only smile with pride as we arrived to shoot her WEDDING! Where did the time go?! And to see her glowing as I took her bridal portraits was an honor I will always remember.

I lost track of the number of times I heard people say how Drew was the most perfect man for Jamie; and to see how he looks at her…I think the feeling is MORE than mutual! They are one another’s best friend and rock of support here on this earth!

These two got married at the always beautiful Strawberry Farms in Irvine, CA. Together with their awesome coordinator Stacey, Jamie and Drew’s day was absolutely perfect. They actually decided on this place after seeing Julie and Jon’s wedding which we shot there just a few months before! It was the perfect setting for these two and we have been so anxious to show them some of our favorite shots from the day :)

So without further adieu

We love these guys! They’re married…Yay!
