What an incredible wedding day it was with Donna and Jonathan at the Sherwood Country Club. Donna and Jonathan are two people you just want to be around because they are so fun and relaxed. They love to laugh, they love to celebrate, and they love their family and friends. Normally, I always make it a point to check on our bride and groom a few moments before the ceremony, just to see how they’re doing and if I can get them anything. When went to both Donna and Jonathan they were so amazingly calm and happy. They were ready. Their joy could be seen on both of their faces. They’d been ready for a long time now, and it was such an honor to witness the joining of two wonderful people. I found myself smiling and cheering for them behind my camera as I saw the tears and laughter they shared together during their ceremony.

Thanks to Lisa with Stephanie Grace Designs, the entire day was so perfect. The timing couldn’t have been better as we hijacked a golf cart and went cruising around the grounds at Sherwood; the weather held off just enough and we had the best time capturing these two. A huge thanks to our friend Kate Noelle who shot this wedding with me.

Donna and Jonathan, no doubt you are still reeling from you adventures in Costa Rica, but we can’t wait to share with you some of our favorite moments from a day filled with such love and happiness. Thank you for not only being YOU, but for letting us in and trusting us to capture a love that you just don’t see everyday. We hope you enjoy!

Wow! What a week it was with this amazing couple!

Karen and Ryan are both from the Washington D.C. area and so with only being in town during the week of their wedding, we were spoiled spending so much time with these two the past few days! We shot their engagement session in San Clemente on Wednesday and then shot their beautiful destination wedding on Saturday on the hill in Laguna Beach!

With their closest friends and family in attendance, they said their vows at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and then sped their way down Pacific Coast Highway to San Juan Capistrano for some quality time at The Mission followed by a wonderful celebration at the Vintage Steakhouse right across the street.

From start to finish, their day was gorgeous. Being a photographer himself, Ryan gave us full creative control and really let us have fun telling the story of their day. Both he and Karen were so fun and relaxed, it was so much fun to step back and watch as they loved on each other. Ryan would say something softly to Karen, her face would light up, his face would light up, and their smiles could be seen from across the room. Hearing the toasts raised int their honor, it only confirmed what we could see even after only a few short hours with them.

Karen and Ryan, thank you for trusting us with your wedding day, we couldn’t be any happier for you both and are so excited for your new lives together out in DC – with a lot less traffic to see one another!

It was go time. It was their wedding day! We pulled up to the Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo ready for the wedding of two unforgettable people.

As photographers, Erin and I are amazed at how quickly wedding days fly by. (We remember our wedding day, and what a blur that felt like!) But in coming away from every wedding day, there are certain moments, certain looks, and certain smiles we will always remember.

I’ll always remember how excited Sara was to see her husband on her wedding day. If she could have jumped out of bed and into her wedding dress, she would have done it! Sara didn’t want another second to pass if it meant not being married to her love. And after 7 years being together, who could blame her?!

I’ll always remember Jose’s nervous excitement standing and waiting to see not just his fiancé, but finally – - – to see his bride for the first time. I’ll remember the way he held her during their first dance, and the way Sara smiled back at him as they listened to the words and melodies Jose wrote especially for his wife on their wedding day.

And finally, Erin and I will always remember the amazing celebration that rocked and rolled on their dance floor into the late hours of the night. The outpouring of joy and love by their friends and family was a sight to behold, and we are so blessed to have been a part of this incredible day.

Sara and Jose, thank you for the honor of documenting the moment that made your day one we will always remember. Here are just a few of our favorites! Blessings to you both.
